“Travelling broadens the mind”.Todke waterfall is one of the best destinations for tourists to explore the adventure in Illam, Nepal. Visiting Todke waterfall is an adventure in itself. It is claimed as the second longest waterfall in Nepal. The mesmerizing Todke waterfall falls on the lap of amid rockey hills in the dense Forest 25 km far from Illam municipality. 280 feet(85)m height Todke waterfall is able to capture the attention of many domestic and international observers each years.It feeds Maikhola river 40 m west at in altitude of 1600 m from sea level in sandakpur gaupalika- 2,Maimajuwa. The waterfall can make one to feel it’s beautiful and astonoshing view from bridge below.This view will propelx your heart beat,fresshes your mind and the visit will leave different kind of scary in your life.The chirping sound of various birds will fascinate you and give you extreme pleasure.You can hire a Jeep or motorbike from Jhapa Birtamode to get Todke waterfall via Mechi highway. In Illam Bazar you can take tea rest. Then forward to Mechi highway till Biblyate. After that take muddy way to Maipokhari road. After crossing Maipokhari and Deurali, park your Jeep or bike around 5km, walk descend about half an hour to enjoy the waterfal. There is not any fascilities of hotels and lodges so you can return to Illam Bazar and stay there in comfortable way. Todke waterfall serves a particular significance of adventure in your life. Dhappar Todke falls is also located in Dhappar Maimajuwa which is another attractive waterfall in the area. Most of the people in this area are of gurung community. It is said that “travel makes one modest”. So, keep travelling different places. And yes! If you are planning for Illam tour, Don’t miss Todke waterfall.
