Nepal, known as Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, is a landlocked Himalayan nation in South Asia. Having a total population of 26.4 million, it has a total area of ​​1,47,516 square kilometres. This area is 0.03% of the total area of ​​the earth and 0.3% of the continent of Asia. Nepal is geographically divided into three parts: the Himalayan region, the hills, and the Terai. These areas are spread across the country in an east-west direction.
