Baraha Pokhari is a popular lake and religious destination as well as a part of trekking trail situated at an altitude of 1,700 meters from sea level which os 800 meters long and 500 meters wide located at Barahapokhari Rural Municipality of Khotang District. This beautiful place offers magical and really amazing views with wonderful natural beauty surrounded by massive mountains like Himalchuli,Manaslu, Boudha Himal, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna, Machhapuchre and many other smaller peaks which truly feels like paradise. Every spring on April fool moon day, a religious mela(Fate) is held on Baraha Pokhari where hundreds of people visit here in the belief fulfilment of the wishes by the God. For worshipping, devotee make dip on water of holy lake there. Moreover one of the interesting fact about Baraha Pokhari is that the color of the water in the lake changes with season and the lake offers to wach different colorful fishes.
