Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and check into your hotel. You’ll have some free time to explore the city’s cultural attractions and prepare your bikes for the next day’s journey.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Chitwan
It’s great to be on the road on a motorbike. The twisting Tribhuvan Highway will be our route; the road will not be obstructed by landslides as it is during the rainy season, and the landscape will be magnificent with clear sky. At Daman, we will have lunch.Daman, at 7700 feet, offers what many believe to be Nepal’s most beautiful Himalayan views, with panoramic views of the whole range from Dhaulagiri to Mt Everest. We’ll leave in the afternoon for Chitwan National Park, where we’ll spend two nights.
Day 3: Exploring Chitwan National Park on a motorbike
This is hardly a relaxation day; Chitwan has so much to offer. There are about 410 rhinos, 210 Royal Bengal Tigers, Gharials, and Sloth Bears living there. A canoe journey along the Rapti River awaits you in the morning. It’s a great place to go bird watching and observe two rare crocodile species: the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial. Then there will be some enjoyment with food, dance and beer at night.
Day 4: Chitwan National Park to Lumbini
Back on the motorbikes for a trip through Chitwan and then onto the Mahendra Highway, which takes you through Nepal’s Terai region’s lowlands. We’ll be living near Lumbini, where Siddhartha Gautama, better known as the Buddha, was born in the year 563BC. Lumbini’s spiritual center is Maya Devi Temple, which marks the exact place where the Buddha was born under a Bodhi tree.
Day 5: Lumbini to Pokhara
Along the magnificent Siddhartha Highway, a thrilling day of riding awaits. This road is widely considered as one of Nepal’s best and most scenic motorbike routes – a genuine treat. We’ll have lunch at Tansen, which is a lovely and welcoming town. We’ll proceed along the beautiful road to Pokhara in the afternoon. Pokhara is a terrific destination with a beautiful environment and an exciting adventure sports scene.
Day 6: Pokhara to Jomsom and Kagbeni
An early start is required for the amazing journey from Pokhara to the Annapurna Conservation Area. The Annapurna area has numerous characteristics that distinguish it from other places in the world. It has the world’s deepest river canyon, the Kali Gandaki Gorge, which is 3 miles long and 1.5 miles broad, as well as a valley containing Tethys Sea fossils going back 60 million years.In Ghorepani, the world’s largest rhododendron forest, the region also has the world’s largest rhododendron forest. The world’s highest altitude fresh water lake, Tilicho, is located near Manang, north of the Annapurna range. We’ll take our time because the trip is mostly off-road (gravel, sand and mud).
Day 7: Jomsom to Muktinath to Jomsom
Surprisingly, the route from Kagbeni to Muktinath’s hallowed shrine is well-paved. Muktinath is a widely revered sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists, located at a height of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass in the Mustang area. The route is thrilling, the scenery is breathtaking, and the locals are incredibly kind. You’ll have a day that you will never forget your life time.
Day 8: Jomsom to Pokhara
As we return to town, we have another wonderful day of riding ahead of us. On the route back to Pokhara, we’ll stop to visit some of the picturesque villages. Marpha, in particular, is known for its Marpha Brandy, which is made from local fruits. Lete is another lovely village in Northern Nepal’s Mustang area, with spectacular views of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Tukuche peaks.Pokhara is a beautiful city which gives the magical views.
Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu
The motorbiking route is another spectacular route via Prithivi Highway that winds through steep gorges and follows a number of deep river valleys. On our left, there are spectacular vistas of the Annapurna Mountain, and the route is a classic curvy motorcycle road. It was a great time! We’ll have lunch in Manakamana and then ride up to the old Temple on the Austrian-engineered cable car. Then, after lunch, we’ll return to Kathmandu along the banks of the Trisuli.
